REVITALISATION PROJECT – PLANS SURGE FORWARD AFTER BIG LOTTERY BOOST
Our project won through the extremely testing Stage 2 of the Big Lottery assessment of our application for £315,000 towards the project. The news came just before Christmas, so it was a great present for all those involved.

The Management Committee has now been appointed. the Committee are the trustees of the Village Hall Trust, and as such have responsibility for the operation, management and development of the Village Hall in accordance with a scheme of rules laid down by the Charity Commission and the laws applying to charitable organisations.

Village Hall Annual General Meeting / Annual Report
The Annual General Meeting was held on 19th October 2011. Reports were given by the Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman detailing Hall finances, bookings, maintenance, activities and progress on the revitalisation scheme.

BIG LOTTERY APPLICATION
The second stage of our Big Lottery Reaching Communities application was approved by the Village Hall Trust Management Committee on 31 August and submitted to the Big Lottery the following day. We now wait and see what their response is – they take up to four months to make a decision, although we should get some idea of progress sooner. The application was extremely detailed and took a lot of work to pull together.
