We have an under 11 team and an under 13 team.  We are always open to new juniors joining our squad.

We are also wanting help from anyone who can assist us, do we have anyone wanting to umpire matches on Monday evening or Sunday mornings?

Inside coaching in Keswick School Gym Thursday evenings, 6-7pm,until the end of March when we train outside.

Winter coaching has started, with Threlkeld Junior Cricket again moving indoors to the Keswick School Gym, Thursday evenings 6.00-7pm.

After the beautiful Easter weather normal service was resumed and Mays fixtures were badly affected by rain.  The Threlkeld Foxes (our Wednesday team) didn’t fair too badly and managed to play four games – winning against Patterdale, a team that fielded several youngsters who played some of their junior cricket for Threlkeld, good to see that they are still interested in the game, and also village rivals Caldbeck, always an entertaining fixture.  They lost away at Lowther against a strong side and also, in a very close match, lost against Braithwaite.

Another season is almost upon us.  Gary Stevens has prepared a pitch to his usual high standard, Alan and Gavin Taylor have planted trees around the outfield which were generously supplied by our President, Mr George Hutton and thanks to our Treasurer, John Fleet, the changing rooms have had a coat of paint.

Home Fixtures for July 2010

The beginning of July sees Threlkeld’s midweek team topping the league and the Saturday team lying in third place just two points behind Penrith Wanderers.

On Satuday 25th June Threlkeld played Penrith V at Penrith and put in an excellent performance. Skippered by vice-captain Richard Bannister Threlkeld batted first.
