Threlkeld School

Keswick to Penrith Milestone Restoration Project

Some of the staff and children attended a small celebration with the Milestone Society when they placed the last plaque on the new milestone at the west end of the village. The children were told about the history of the milestones and then joined other guests for refreshments in the village hall.

Trip to Rheged

Year 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 and 6 enjoyed a trip to Rheged as part of their History studies on Vikings. The Children took part in a workshop (Viking crafts) and saw the Discovering Cumbria Map show as well as a giant movie on the Vikings watched on the big screen.
