Blencathra Centre

Blencathra will feature on German ADR television next month as part of 'Euroblick' (A view on Europe). Keswick and the surrounding area was the main location for the shooting of the programme and Nik Weisner the Producer said 'it is not a 'tourist guide' but rather a reportage about the essence of the region - its landscape, people and their way of life.'

Tim Foster and Donald Angus, both Threlkeld Parish Councillors were interviewed near the summit of Blencathra expressing their views about changes that have and are taking place. On the descent time was spent at the Blencathra Centre before joining Willie Tyson at Middle Row Farm to discuss hill farming. Tim Foster said 'The producer wanted someone who embodied the character of the area and with Donald and Willie they met two of our best Cumbrian ambassadors.'
